Why I Rebranded After 20 Years in Real Estate (And What It Means for You)
Why I Rebranded After 20 Years in Real Estate (And What It Means for You)
Reflection and Celebration
This is an exciting month for me. February 2026 marks 20 years since I first became a real estate agent. This milestone has caused me to stop and reflect on the last 20 years. I never envisioned 20 years ago who I would become, the communities I might work in, or how many wonderful people I would be blessed to serve.
From a personal perspective, I have grown exponentially. From successes and failures, I now have a new footing, rooted in my faith. I see God at work, and I am excited to explore the possibilities before me. Birmingham Metro has many opportunities for service through housing needs. Lord, send me!
Randy and I have added a daughter-in-law, a son-in-law, and six beautiful grandchildren. We moved from our longtime family home, and Randy retired after 37 years in commercial printing. He’s now a contractor, and his business has doubled each year since 2021.
Why Now Is the Right Time to Rebrand
All of my personal experiences are enhanced by the twenty years of first steps into homes, of listening at kitchen tables during big life transitions, and of learning what matters most when people buy or sell a home.
-So when people ask, “Why rebrand now?” the answer is simple. Because now, I know exactly who I am and how I want to serve. That clarity is ingrained in experience—and experience shapes perspective.
The who and how will be reflected through changes at Today’s Home. You see, where you live today may not be the life or house you need for tomorrow. And Today’s Home stands ready to assist with your transition. Those changes come from wisdom, and wisdom comes from seeking.
Experience Changes You (In the Best Way)
Over the last two decades, I’ve worked with different brokerages, models, systems, and philosophies. Every season taught me something. Some things worked beautifully. Some things didn’t. All of it shaped how I lead today.
Early in my career, success looked like production, speed, and keeping up.
Now, success looks like wisdom, clarity, and service done well.
Now, success looks like wisdom, clarity, and service done well.
This growth and perspective have shaped Today’s Home. That evolution is at the heart of our rebranding journey and leads directly to the changes we’re introducing.
This rebrand isn’t about chasing trends or starting over. It’s about ensuring our brand fully reflects our desire to help people see their future in their decisions. It’s about helping people build a legacy through their living choices. To consider what their 20-year future might look like, and to help them make decisions that take them towards their dreams and goals.
More Than a New Look
A rebrand is often mistaken for new colors, a new logo, or a fresh website. While those things matter, the true value is that this change will make things simpler for those we serve—by clarifying our processes, enhancing support, and building long-term partnerships focused on your goals.
At Today’s Home, this rebrand represents:
- A deeper commitment to education, not pressure
- A people-first approach over a transaction-first mindset
- Clear guidance in a market that often feels overwhelming
- A long-term view of homeownership, legacy, and community
Simply put, we want our clients to feel informed, protected, and confident, with clear communication and consistent guidance throughout their journey—not rushed or sold. Our agents will benefit from ongoing training, a supportive environment, and tools that help them serve clients better.
A Brand That Matches Our Values
As my experience has grown, so has my desire to serve differently.
I want Today’s Home to feel like a place where:
- Clients are heard and cared for
- Agents are supported, trained, and encouraged to grow.
- Wisdom is shared freely, not guarded.
- Relationships matter more than numbers.
This rebrand now clearly reflects the changes I've made internally over the years.
Looking Ahead With Purpose
February 2026 marks a defining moment: I am sharpening our purpose and service. And, inviting family, friends, customers, and clients to join us in our quest for education. We want them to know what’s happening in the national and local real estate markets. And to know the value of their property on a yearly basis.
This knowledge isn’t coming from a place of self-interest. It stems from 20 years of industry experience and a desire to provide information that helps people understand their current living situation. With understanding comes wisdom, and with wisdom comes direction for one’s future decisions.
This new chapter is an invitation:
- For clients who want thoughtful guidance, not noise
- For agents who value integrity, learning, and community
- For people who believe real estate is always more than just a house
We’re building something steady, rooted, and meaningful. And we’re just getting started.
Thank you for being part of this journey. Whether you’ve worked with me for years or you’re just discovering Today’s Home, I’m grateful you’re here.
Here’s to embracing the future—together, with renewed purpose and possibility.
