Where do I begin?! There aren't enough words to sing my praises for Deb Long! My husband and I didn't know what to expect having never sold a home, and Deb walked us right through every step with patience and kindness. She makes you feel like you are her only client! She was there for us for everything and went above and beyond in all areas. She helped us stage our home, marketed it like crazy on tons of websites including an amazing video, and sold our home in two weeks!! She has remained a friend since we sold our home over 2 years ago! We are so thankful for Deb and recommend her to anyone selling or buying a home.

My Story

My love for homes started early. I was just 11 years old, living in a charming four-story walk-up on the north side of Chicago, when I became fascinated by tall doors, detailed architecture, and the craftsmanship that gave a home its character. A sixth-grade school project turned into something much more when my grandfather, a framing contractor, and my grandmother helped bring it to life. That experience sparked a lasting appreciation for design, structure, and what a home truly represents — family, memories, and legacy.

After many years in Chicago, I moved to Alabama in 1982 and discovered something different. The slower pace of life, open space, and sense of community shaped me in ways I didn’t fully understand at the time. Watching my father run his cabinet and furniture business with care and integrity also left a lasting impression. I knew one day I wanted to build something of my own and serve people with that same commitment to quality and relationships.

That vision became reality in 2006 when I stepped into real estate full time. I quickly realized that I loved every part of it — the service, the strategy, the negotiations, the laws that protect consumers, and helping people make wise decisions during important seasons of life. In 2013, I was honored to be named Sales Associate of the Year by my brokerage and later nominated for Sales Associate of the Year by the Birmingham Association of REALTORS®. It remains a meaningful milestone in a career built on trust, relationships, and consistent results.

But beyond real estate, my greatest blessings are much closer to home. I live in the countryside with my husband and best friend, Randy. We’ve raised three wonderful children and are now blessed with six grandchildren, who bring more joy into our lives than I could have ever imagined. Our home has become a gathering place, especially on weekends when family and friends come together around the pool, sharing meals, laughter, and time that reminds me what home is really about. Our weekly “Gigi Days” with the grandkids keep me grounded and grateful.

I truly love real estate, but more than that, I love Jesus and the life He has given me. When I prayed as a younger woman about what the future might hold, I never imagined it would be this full or this good. I feel blessed beyond measure, and that gratitude shapes how I live, how I serve, and how I care for the people who trust me during some of life’s biggest decisions.

What You Can Expect From Me

The way I approach real estate is shaped by the values I live by every day. I believe in honoring God in both my personal life and my business, and in doing what’s right whether it’s seen or unseen. Trust matters, and I work hard to earn it through honesty, consistency, and following through on what I say I will do.

I believe communication should be steady and clear, so you’re never left wondering what’s happening or what comes next. My role is to provide solutions, not excuses, and to offer services that truly meet the needs of the people I serve.

To me, great service means treating others the way I hope to be treated myself — with respect, care, and professionalism. Real estate isn’t about the agent; it’s about you, your goals, and protecting your best interests at every step. I strive to be an available and trusted advisor, someone you can rely on for honest guidance and thoughtful counsel.

I also believe that joy matters. A smile, encouragement, and a positive outlook can make even stressful moments easier. At the end of the day, your success is a reflection of the work we’ve done together, and there’s nothing more rewarding than seeing clients move forward with confidence.

Let’s do this together.

If you’re thinking about what comes next, I’d be honored to walk through it with you.
